This statue is so akin to St Agnes (43) as to leave no doubt about the identity of the sculptor.

Catherine is dressed in a tunic with a crown on her head. On her right, she leans against a wheel, a symbol of her martyrdom. Her left hand holds a scroll, the right holds the trunk of the palm of martyrdom.

Left:
St. Justin - Martyr

Feastday - 1 June

Statue created - c.1665-1667

Attribution to Morelli seems certain because of similarities in drapery with nearby St Agnes (43)
